UJobs legal

Terms of Use

These Terms apply to the UJobs website, mobile application, organisation workspace and related services.

Version 2026-09-02.1 · Effective 2 September 2026

Important points

  • uJobs provides discovery, communication and workforce-management technology. A recruiter, employer or worker you meet through uJobs is an independent third party.
  • A verified badge is not a guarantee. Check an organisation’s identity, contact details, job offer and payment requests independently before acting.
  • Never pay a recruitment fee for work-finding services where the law prohibits it, and do not send money or sensitive documents until you have verified who is asking.
  • Nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the uJobs mobile application, websites and related services (together, the “Service”). uJobs is a software service created and operated by UOMN VERSE LTD, a private limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales under company number 17214579. Its registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.

In these Terms, “uJobs”, “UOMN VERSE”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to UOMN VERSE LTD, and “you” means the person or organisation using the Service. Questions about the operator or these Terms can be sent to hello@ujobs.uomnverse.com. Product support is available at support@ujobs.uomnverse.com or 020 8106 1795.

By selecting “I agree and continue”, creating an account, accessing a workspace or continuing to use the Service after being asked to accept an updated version, you agree to these Terms. If you act for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. Workers must be at least the minimum lawful working age for the work concerned and must have any consent required by applicable law. Some roles, sectors or organisations may impose a higher minimum age.

You must not use the Service if your use is prohibited by law, if your account has been suspended or removed, or if you lack authority to act for the organisation whose workspace you access.

3. What uJobs provides

The Service helps workers discover organisations and openings, submit applications, receive or respond to shifts, manage work-related information and communicate with organisation teams. It also gives organisations tools to manage members, workers, applications, shifts and messages.

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, uJobs provides technology and directory services. uJobs is not the employer, hirer, payroll provider, recruitment agency or employment business in a relationship formed between a worker and a listed organisation, and is not a party to their employment, engagement or supply agreement. This description does not override any responsibility that applicable law places on uJobs because of activities it actually performs.

Use of the Service does not guarantee an interview, assignment, job, worker, candidate, response, payment, qualification, suitability, availability or successful outcome.

4. Accounts and account security

Information supplied during registration and use must be accurate, current and complete. You must keep your sign-in credentials and devices secure, use only accounts you are authorised to use, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account to the extent permitted by law. Shared organisation devices should be signed out or locked appropriately. Do not share one person’s account between multiple people; use organisation member access where available.

We may require identity, email, telephone, organisation or other verification and may refuse, restrict or withdraw access where checks cannot be completed.

5. Organisation listings, contact details and verification

Organisation information may come from public sources, organisations themselves, service providers or user reports. Telephone numbers, email addresses, websites, locations, vacancies and other details can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, duplicated or changed without notice.

You must independently verify important details through reliable official sources before calling, emailing, visiting, applying, sharing documents, accepting work or making a payment.

A “verified” label means only that specified checks or documents were reviewed at a particular time. It is not an endorsement or guarantee of identity, solvency, licensing, conduct, job availability, safety or future behaviour. Verification may expire, be incomplete or be affected by information not available to us.

Use the reporting tools to flag incorrect contact details, suspicious activity, impersonation, fraudulent links or organisations that may no longer operate. Reports are reviewed but a report does not guarantee immediate removal or a particular outcome.

6. Worker responsibilities

Workers must provide truthful profile, application, availability, qualification, experience and right-to-work information. You must not claim a licence, registration, training record, reference or qualification that you do not hold.

Before accepting work, review the organisation, location, hours, pay, employment status, duties, health and safety information, required qualifications, cancellation rules and contractual terms. Ask the organisation for missing information.

Only accept shifts you can lawfully and safely perform. Check travel time and scheduling conflicts. Any overlap warning is an aid and may not identify every conflict, including commitments held outside uJobs.

You remain responsible for attending accepted work, communicating delays or cancellations, following lawful workplace requirements and resolving pay, tax, employment-status or assignment issues with the responsible organisation, subject to your legal rights.

7. Organisation responsibilities

Organisations and their owners, administrators and managers must provide accurate identity, contact, role, pay, location, hours, employment-status, health and safety and vacancy information. They must keep listings and workspace access up to date.

Organisations are responsible for all legally required checks, contracts, key information documents, right-to-work checks, safeguarding, professional registrations, references, suitability assessments, insurance, payroll, tax, minimum wage, holiday, working time, equality, data protection and workplace health and safety obligations applicable to them.

Any wage figure shown by uJobs is an estimated gross amount based on confirmed attendance, payable time and the hourly rate recorded in the Service. uJobs does not calculate or process PAYE, National Insurance, pension contributions, holiday or sick pay, overtime rules, expenses, statutory payments, deductions, minimum-wage compliance or net pay. Organisations must review every estimate and process pay through appropriate payroll software or a suitably qualified payroll provider.

An organisation must not charge a work-seeker a fee for finding or trying to find work where prohibited by law, make unlawful deductions, publish misleading opportunities, request unnecessary sensitive data, impersonate another business or use uJobs to facilitate exploitation, discrimination, harassment, trafficking, fraud or other unlawful activity.

Organisation administrators are responsible for assigning appropriate permissions, removing access promptly when a member leaves or changes role, and ensuring members use worker and team conversations only for legitimate business purposes.

8. Applications, shifts and workplace arrangements

An application, invitation, acceptance, rejection, cancellation or status displayed in uJobs records activity within the Service. It does not by itself create an employment contract, guarantee work or replace terms that the worker and responsible organisation are legally required to agree.

Organisations control their openings and shifts and may amend or cancel them, subject to law and any agreement with the worker. Workers control whether to accept or decline, subject to commitments already made.

Conflict detection, reminders, calendars, maps, distances and status information are provided for convenience. You must verify dates, times, time zones, addresses, travel requirements and changes directly with the relevant organisation.

uJobs does not hold wages or guarantee payment unless the Service expressly identifies a separate payment service and provides specific terms for it.

9. Messages and user content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give uJobs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support and improve the Service and comply with law.

Do not upload or send content that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, threatening, abusive, defamatory, infringing, malicious, sexually exploitative, confidential without authority, or unrelated to legitimate recruitment and workforce activity.

Messages may be visible to authorised organisation owners, administrators or managers according to workspace permissions. Members should not assume that a work account provides personal or legally privileged communication.

We may preserve, restrict or disclose content where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.

10. Fraud, impersonation and personal safety

Recruitment and job-search services can be targeted by fraudsters. Be cautious if anyone pressures you to act quickly, uses unexpected contact details, offers implausible pay, refuses verifiable information, asks for payment, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking credentials, one-time codes or unnecessary identity documents.

Verify the organisation using independent sources such as its official website, Companies House where relevant, a regulator or professional register, and a telephone number obtained independently. Do not rely only on a link, badge, message, caller ID or contact detail displayed in the Service.

Report suspicious profiles, links, messages and requests through uJobs. If money, identity documents or account access may have been stolen, contact your bank, the relevant platform, law enforcement or an appropriate fraud-reporting service promptly. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.

11. External websites and third-party services

The Service may contain links to organisation websites, maps, email, telephone, application forms, payment providers or other third-party services. Those services are controlled by their operators and may have separate terms and privacy practices.

A link does not mean that uJobs endorses, controls or guarantees the destination. Check the address and legitimacy of a destination before opening it or entering information. You use third-party services at your own discretion, subject to rights you may have against uJobs where loss was caused by our own breach, negligence or unlawful conduct.

12. Notifications and communications

You may receive in-app, push or email communications about accounts, security, applications, messages, shifts, reminders, organisation status and Service changes. Delivery can be delayed, duplicated, blocked or unavailable because of device settings, network conditions or third-party systems.

Do not rely on a notification as the only way to learn about a shift or urgent change. Check the Service and communicate with the relevant organisation. You can manage optional notifications in settings, but essential service or security communications may still be sent.

13. Privacy and data protection

Our Privacy Policy at https://ujobs.uomnverse.com/privacy explains how personal data is collected, used, shared, retained and protected and how to exercise applicable data rights. These Terms do not replace that policy.

Each organisation is responsible for its own processing of worker, applicant, employee and member data. Organisations must provide any privacy information required of them and access personal data only for authorised purposes.

Where an organisation controls workforce personal data and instructs UJobs to process it on the organisation’s behalf, the Organisation Data Processing Agreement at https://ujobs.uomnverse.com/organisation-dpa forms part of the agreement between that organisation and UJobs.

Do not upload special-category, criminal-record, medical, financial or identity data unless it is necessary, requested through an appropriate process and lawful to share.

14. Acceptable use and platform security

You must not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorised access, bypass permissions, scrape or harvest data, probe security, reverse engineer except where law expressly permits, distribute malware, automate abusive activity, overload systems, interfere with other users or use data obtained through uJobs for spam, surveillance or unrelated marketing.

Do not export or combine data in a way that exposes another user’s messages, workers, clients, shifts, documents, notifications or cached responses. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to support rather than exploiting or publicly disclosing personal data.

15. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding and original content, is owned by or licensed to uJobs and protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, create a competing database from, or commercially exploit the Service except with written permission or where applicable law permits.

16. Availability, maintenance and changes

We use reasonable care in operating the Service but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available access. Maintenance, faults, connectivity, security incidents, legal requirements or third-party outages may affect availability.

We may add, change or withdraw features where reasonably necessary. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. Keep independent copies of information you are legally or operationally required to retain.

17. Suspension, termination and account deletion

We may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there is a security risk, material breach, fraud, unlawful conduct, harm to another person, misuse of data, non-payment by an organisation, or a need to comply with law. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a route to challenge the decision.

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion through the available account controls. Some information may be retained where required for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, billing, disputes or the rights of others, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Terms which by their nature should continue—including intellectual property, responsibility for prior conduct, permitted records, liability and dispute provisions—survive account closure.

18. Disclaimers and responsibility

We will provide the Service with the level of care and skill required by applicable law. Information supplied by third parties is not guaranteed to be complete, current or accurate, and users must carry out checks appropriate to their circumstances.

To the extent permitted by law, uJobs is not responsible for the acts, omissions, promises, job offers, workplace conduct, payments, fraud, identity, content or services of an independent worker, organisation, recruiter, employer, website or other third party, or for loss arising solely from a user’s decision to rely on unverified third-party information.

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, and any other liability which law requires us to bear.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, was not caused by us, or is a business loss arising from consumer use.

If you use the Service for business purposes, any exclusion or limitation of liability applies only to the extent reasonable and lawful. Nothing in these Terms makes you responsible for loss caused by uJobs.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security or business operations. The current version and effective date will be displayed in the Service.

If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give reasonable notice where practicable and ask you to accept the updated Terms before continuing. Changes do not apply retrospectively unless required by law or expressly agreed.

20. Governing law and disputes

Please contact hello@ujobs.uomnverse.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from seeking urgent legal relief or using a regulator, ombudsman or statutory complaint route where available.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain mandatory protections provided by the law of your home country and may bring proceedings in any court available to you under applicable consumer law. Business users submit to the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rule.

21. App store terms

Apple, Google and other app-store providers are not responsible for operating uJobs, providing support, resolving Service claims or supplying third-party content. Your use of the downloaded app must also comply with the applicable store rules.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights an app-store provider has under its own terms. If store terms and these Terms conflict about your relationship with uJobs, these Terms apply to that relationship to the extent permitted by the store rules and law.

22. General

If a court finds part of these Terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect and the affected provision will apply only to the lawful extent. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.

You may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a reorganisation, sale or transfer of the Service, provided this does not reduce consumer protections.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Organisation Data Processing Agreement where applicable, and any feature-specific or Organisation Subscription Terms presented to you form the agreement governing the Service. Separate employment, engagement, subscription or commercial contracts between users remain separate.
